Juvederm® is a filler made of hyaluronic acid, a compound that is naturally found in your body. This substance fills and firms your face, counteracting the sagging and folding of wrinkles. Once injected, Juvederm® lasts approximately nine months to a year. The skin you want treated must be free of infection and inflammation. Juvederm® has been determined safe for patients who are under 18, pregnant, breastfeeding, or have severe scarring. Juvederm® is not recommended for patients with severe allergies, especially those with sensitivity to bacterial proteins.

RADIESSE^®

Like Juvederm®, Radiesse® is a filler, but it is synthetic rather than natural, made of tiny calcium hydroxylapatite spheres carried in a water-based gel. This compound mimics that found in skin and teeth. It reduces wrinkles the same way Juvederm® does and can last up to two years. It can also stimulate collagen production. This treatment is not suitable for patients with bleeding disorders, who have a hypersensitivity to any of the product's ingredients, or who have a history of serious allergies.

RESTYLANE^®

Like Juvederm®, Restylane® is made of hyaluronic acid, but this compound is delivered as particles suspended in gel. Restylane® has been biosynthesized for compatibility with most skin but is not recommended for people with severe allergies. This treatment is not suitable for patients who are pregnant, breastfeeding, or under 18 years old. It remains effective for approximately six months.
