Restylane® White Plains New York

Are fine lines and wrinkles impacting your self-esteem? If so, there may be a treatment solution for you. Restylane® is a gel formation that consists of hyaluronic acid that can be used to correct moderate to severe facial wrinkles. It is also an FDA-approved treatment for lip enhancement in patients ages 21 and over. The intention for either treatment area is to restore a youthful appearance in a natural-looking way. Plus, the recovery time is fast and allows people to continue with their lives. This is an ideal solution for people who want to enhance their appearance without investing in a lengthy recovery time.

Areas that Restylane Can Treat

There are several treatment areas that respond well to Restylane®. They include:

  • Smile Lines: As people age, smile lines may become more prominent. Restylane® can treat the corners of the mouth as well as the area that extends toward the nose.
  • Marionette Lines: One of the most sought-after treatment areas is the area that extends downward from the corners of the mouth. Restylane® can smooth and restore this area, so you look absolutely flawless.
  • Lips: Restylane® may be used to enhance both the upper and lower lips to give patients the beautiful full look that they want.

Before Your Treatment:

As a way to ensure that you have the best recovery possible, here are a few considerations to keep in mind. To minimize bruising, please stop the following medications two weeks before treatment:

• Aspirin

• Vitamin E

• Fish oil

• Ibuprofen (Motrin)

• St. John’s wort

It has been suggested that taking arnica before and after the treatment may help reduce swelling. Your doctor will be able to offer additional guidance to proper pre-treatment care.

What to Expect During Treatment?

The procedure is performed in-office with local anesthesia and usually takes about one hour to complete. Based on patient goals, the doctor will determine how many injections are necessary to achieve the best results. Each area will be properly cleaned with an antiseptic to reduce the chances of infection. You may go home following the treatment and recovery time takes less than one day. Most patients see some results right away, but it can take up to two weeks before seeing the final results.
